My understanding from just watching from afar (not part of snapfam, barely use it) is:
- Slow growth of snapchat users over time
- Some sort of peak period where everyone is snapping all the time, lots of talk about it on here
- Slowed down a bit, maybe just because the initial rush of summer died a bit? Probably also because people began realizing it was like 95% male and the 5% of females got tired of being creeped on
- Snapchat spam a week or two ago
- Now everyone just kinda stopped

Snap/fa/m was peak summer of 2013. It stopped growing due to a combination of summer posters being students, who obviously fuck around in the summer, and also that from 2013 to 2014 then on, people were reporting the Snapchat threads. We went months without a thread getting past a few posts before being deleted by a Janitor. I guess the new round of Janitors for this board don't care, or the autists reporting the threads left the board.

The period of growth was artificially ended.
