J+O, more exclusive stuff, Helmut, Wang, bit of DRKSHDW, friendly atmosphere
Nomad, decent prices/sales, cool staff, good selection, cdg, gosha, off whtie, CPs, a lot of diversity
Fashionably Yours, cheap consignment, stuff can be a rip off but some decent finds if you go often
haven, lots of jap stuff - wacko maria, wtaps, uc, all very exp tho

don't thrift in toronto, go to the suburbs for that

Holts has gone totally downhill, it's full fob now. yorkdale location is better than bloor
Contraband is overpriced, but cool staff and nice guys, str8 streetwear
Serpentine is overpriced and poorly run

>>9983257
Contraband had some suiting (Thom, KVA) but they're gone now I think, and you forgot Da Zoo, which is closed for a few months to move locations apparently. They carry Ann D, Rick, Plokhov, UC, MMM, etc. and often have a lot of older season stuff on deep sale.

J+O is pretty whatever in terms of their buys, nothing really interesting imo. Lots of the same stuff you can get at The Bay.

Lost & Found, right across the street, is cute for like Americana stuff (Dana Lee, nicer Levi's), and Blue Button Shop is basically the Jap version of L&F. They carry Kapital, which is rad.

Working Title is cool and fairly new, they have lots of streetwear stuff from what I remember (Gosha, Eytys), but I have only been in once.

I Miss You Man is probably one of the best consignment stores, lots of cool stuff for cheap and they're super friendly. A little more under the radar too so stuff stays on the shelf longer.

Serpentine is trash. Worst staff and pretty underwhelming/overpriced selection. Da Zoo is way better for this style.

Holts is still decent for fragrance and skincare and makeup and gifts. Their shoe section isn't bad either. As a girl, the contemporary section is fine but hugely overpriced. I've never been to the Yorkdale location.

Rosedale doesn't even connect to the PATH. I'd say St. Andrew or Bay have the highest concentration of well-dressed people. Museum is the most interesting, at platform level. Union station will be great if the renovations are ever completed.

You'll be fine with a minimum of 1500 a month if you have roommates and can cycle. Driving/parking and transit are more expensive. Depends on your hobbies and interests too. Toronto is pretty expensive but it's a good city

volunteer for shit and make up extra curricular or exaggerate extra curricular stuff that you did in secondary in order to look good. volunteering has the double bonus of making you look good as well as getting you experience while you search for a job. write yourself a resume, and get decent references (any sort of neighbors, teachers or anybody else that's older and "experienced" in your life that will talk highly of you is a good idea). after making yourself a good looking resume, get like 40 applications and print out like 40 copies of your resume, do all the applications and attach your resume to them. having a resume will put you one step ahead of most people. look up tips for job interviews, and be sure to call the places you've applied at like 3-4 days after you've dropped your application off, just ask them if they've reviewed your application (some businesses play hard to get with hiring, idk why). get a few part time jobs or a full time job if you're lucky enough with this.

go to your local library and take out a book about job interviews and the questions interviewers ask. books especially that give you what answers to give.

It will be all stuff that will give you confidence b/c it all makes sense when you read it.

Also, when i was younger I didn't realize that first call they give you to set up the interview, is actually the first part of the interview : S and a book had to explain this to me.
