cigs, coffee, diet soda and water are what I do. it's really bad for your teeth, however.

lots of cardio is the healthier alternative. swimming often will work wonders.

If you want to stay lean but have some decent functionality, do bodyweight exercises.

I do about 200 pushups, 180 situps, 2 mins of planking on each side+front, and pull ups to failure every other day. On the off days, go for a run.

The exercises won't build much muscle (enough to be noticeable if you're fat or if you're seriously skelly) unless you gradually increase resistance (raised leg pushups, weighted planks etc) but the redundancy will definitely burn excess calories. Even after just a few weeks to a few months youll begin to notice a change in your overall physique and endurance.

my chest gained some more definition after I switched from wide set pushups to triangle, which is odd because a lot of people said that triangle pushups put more train on triceps rather than your pectorals but that didn't end up being the case. Burn off that belly fat and tone up! If you do 1500, you can get that beach body and thigh gap in no time.
