decently cool places to look at clothes in toronto include

Queen Street HBC ( ervell, drkshdw, sandro, basic boring shit)
Nomad (whole wack of mens stuff, carry cdg homme pluswhich is nice)
Gravity Pope (kinda shitty but they have some decent stuff i like their maison kitsune stuff)
Haven (haven;t had a chance to go in but, their website is good)
Dutil ( good fro raw denim thats about it)
Holt Renfrew at Yorkdale (same shit as HBC, y-3, saint laurent, givenchy, gucci, prada, junn j, idk random shit, you can get tom ford and diptyque fragrances there which is pretty rad)
Black market and it's sister store (dumb punk fashion but some gems in there, don't pay for the sunglasses they're too easy to steal)
J&O ( acne, helmut lang, hba, saturday surf nyc, apc, some other cool stuff, tiny mens section though)
Tiger of Sweden (decent mid tier menswear, they also stock some at HBC on queen)
Seperentine (sp? haven't been apparently they carry a bunch of rick stuff, hella overpriced though, it's good to try on)

theres probably more that im forgetting about but thats what comes to mind

also don't forget about the consignment shops
you can usually find something decent in them

The public transportation in Toronto is not first world standards (eg Seoul) by any means, but it works.

The subway gets delayed sometimes, and they cut off stations because of maintenance or whatever. But you can collect one of these forms and your school/employer has to legally excuse you from being late

That was in like 2010 so it's likely harder now. Monthly rent went up about $50 with each subsequent year that I lived there. I don't think it's necessarily hard, especially if you go as far east as Gerrard, or south from campus down McCaul or Beverly.

I was 18 and my mom was my guarantor. We just walked around neighbourhoods til we saw vacancies and visited th buildings. I lived in Waterloo then so we went drove up every Friday for a few weeks. The place was very accomodating with when we could come in for paperwork. Apartments are very competitive here, so if you can help it, submit an application as soon as you see somewhere you like. Also if you live out of town try emailing places and arranging showings all in one day and that worked too. Check out craigslist, viewit and padmapper, walk around neighbourhoods and try to get a feel for neighbourhoods that you like. You might find the college/Bathurst or college/Spadina areas affordable but maybe too studenty, in a bad way (read: drunk-for-the-first-time undergrads). UofT also has a housing site you might have access to. Housing.utoronto.ca I think

wait wait wait what the fuck there are so many times I am late because of "A problem at track level" (see: Someone tried to kill themselves again) and I end up being late by like a full ass hour and yet I have never seen one of those in my fucking life.

Where the fuck do we go to get one of those when there are delays and shit????
