I'm new here.
Is this just wonder material?
Do you put this on after getting your hair wet or does it work no matter what?
What about shampoo and conditioners? Do they even matter?

I have asian hair so this works well. It's recommended for short hair, but I've used it on my medium length hair and its nice. Makes my hair look airy and can be touched during the day to restyle without adding more product during the day. Also doesn't get clumpy and has no shine whatsoever

I'll take all these into consideration.
I have thick Mexican hair and I haven't even decided what I wanted to do with it yet.
I'm in the military now so it obviously changed how I keep my hair cause its gotta stay within regs.

Anybody here have dry hair? I have straight, brown hair at medium length and I've been going no-poo for a while now, but my hair feels dry, a bit strand-y, and doesn't look very alive. I would like for it to clump up more and have definition. I don't use conditioner as of now. Any suggestions as to what I could use to give my hair more volume, thickness, and look healthier? I was considering argan oil but I'm not sure.

American Crew is top tier given the price point. Ditto for Gatsby under certain circumstances.

It's not, but it works fine (for my hair at least). It has a matte/semi-matte finish. I use it after blow drying my hair, when I use it on wet hair the hold is pretty shitty.
As far as shampoos go: try to get one without sulfates, they won't dry your hair out as much. You can get the cheapest conditioner, they're all pretty much the same (I tried many brands (Redken, Tigi etc) and the difference isn't worth the extra 15€ imo (but then again, my hair's pretty short so can't really judge))

>get out of shower
>towel dry for ~90 seconds
>run fingers through hair and blow dry
>put paste in while hair is partially damp
>run brush through hair with blow dryer moving hair in proper direction
>hair spray a lil bit for that extra hold

After a few hours, it looks somewhat natural with a decent hold for about 6-12 hours depending on weather conditions/wind conditions.

is there anything that will make my hair not clump together? looking for something that won't necessarily slick my hair back but just hold it out of my face, don't mind a wet/shiny look either

I've got asian hair and i've tried pink + grey gatsby and a bunch of american crew products but my hair still flops down (it's neck length)

Will slapping all these pastes and sprays in your hair daily damage it at all?

Hairline is pretty solid right now and I'd like to keep it that way. If that means never using product then so be it.
