I used to believe, even in feminism today, that maybe this was just tumblr retards shitting up the name of an equal rights movement.

As it turns out, the third wave is in every way retarded as I had thought. Feminist theory draws on a few pieces from the 60s, 70s and 80s, with all kinds of retarded redefining of terms that don't even really match up with whats spoken. There's a certain criteria you must meet in order to be "oppressed", a term with a steady definition and etymological history, which doesn't favor one side blatantly. Their definition also excludes racial minorities, and homos, and trans. Then you have intersectionality, which is just a huge pissing contest over who is the most special snowflake who gets oppressed the most. Meaning a black lesbian in a wheelchair has a shittier life than an able bodied latin woman, and thus the latin woman's opinion is meaningless because she doesn't understand the suffering. This exclusion is divisive and pointless. And its all in academia. Its all theory(with no proper base mind you) and many of the foundational writers that are constantly quoted, said later, they just did it to piss off their fathers.

Whats worse is when this critique is voiced and accepted as valid, because its easy to label naysayers as misogynist pigs and thus shunned from public society. I'm very much a believer in meritocracy and it would seem that many people aren't. Current feminism is lacking in pragmatism and is going nowhere really fast. Its too focused on something so pointless and less about legal battles, or equality amongst employment(by proving worth).

not to mention the self censorship rampant throughout the feminist "community" where you constantly have to realize what your privilege level is before speaking so not to offend someone. This kind of censorship will lead to many being afraid to say what they may in fact really should say. Being offensive isn't a crime and I don't think it should be treated like one. fuck people.
