This heavily edited photo was taken nearly a year ago, when I started buzzing all my hair off. I liked the aesthetic. My old roommate said it made me look like a 12/88 neo-Nazi skinhead thug.
Then I started dating a girl I knew from high school. She chastised me for my buzzcut, said my head was "too round." So, for her sake, I grew it back out.

the ombre doesn't work so well with those colors, I don't think. maybe dye back to a solid color, or get a more subtle ombre that starts further down. plus those curls are too stiff; you want your hair to appear more effortless without any rigid shapes. loosely wrap it around a curling rod for a few seconds (really no more than a few seconds) and hit it with the lightest hairspray hold you can find. that way you'll still have waves/subtle curls but it won't seem as forced, and your hair will actually look touchable.

It's possible. I have really thick, coarse, wavy hair and I got one the other day. I think it looks decent and I've gotten compliments on it. Its about 2.5 inches on the top, and a 2-4 guard on the sides (I will get the sides shorter next time). I just do a shampoo and conditioner routine and add some strong product to hold it in place. The conditioner helps straighten it, but I don't really do anymore to it (blow dryer/ straightener) to keep my hair healthier. I think it also gives my hair some of its own character.

Go to the black people section. Get the gnarliest thickest shit in there, like murray's superior and stuff.

Depending on your hair type, you may need to soften it up a bit. I apply murray's then comb some brylcreem through my hair to soften it up. Keeps it pliable for when i want to change it and holds great when I don't.

Don't worry about washing it out every day. You won't be able to. You will need to devote about an hour and a half to wash it out before every haircut. Olive oil helps.

No-poo by itself just wasn't working for me. My hair just sorta got progressively drier after I went swimming and it never got better. (cold turkey and baking soda/ACV, neither really made a difference)

Now, I just use conditioner everytime I shower and I'll shampoo maybe once a month and my hair feels fucking fantastic. Silky smooth, I end up playing with it all the time. Cowashing is where it's at fam.
