I'd like to get into techwear, but I'll probably just stick with prepcore for now. Not sure I'm really ready to completely redo my wardrobe again. My family would probably think I'm crazy if I started wearing techwear anyhow.

Started lurking about a year ago and made solid basic cops. now i'm starting to cop some more expensive nice pieces like a nice bomber and denim jacket. slowly building my way up but i'm loving where its going.

Used to buy all black. After lurking here I have a better eye on cops that i want and i dont ever impulse buy anymore. i buy quality clothing now because it'll last me 5+ yrs as opposed to the 1 yr.

Basic tees should cost 30+ retail (if u can get it on sale then wicked) and they'll last you years.

it's the shitty 100$ workboot for a couple years or the $400 workboot that'll last 5+ years argument. :D

there's no effort entailed in wearing all black everything, it's largely praised as an easy way to approach colours in terms of dressing yourself because it's impossible to fuck up

3. wear black shoes

I would say there's two sides to this. If you're wearing just properly fitted (not skinny, not loose) styles, then all black is definitely an easy, no-brainer approach to dressing.

But if you want to experiment more, all black is great because anything that is different is more obviously different. A wider silhouette is instantly recognizable, a textured weave reads without effort, a draped fabric moves dramatically, and so on.

do you not think that youll get bored of your stuff after 1 year? ive found that ive bought £20 white t shirts, and eventually ill either spill something on them or they turn to shit, so now ive jut been buying white t shirts for like £2.50 each. theyre pretty much the same in my experience, so i cant justify spending any more than £10 on a t shirt. save your money for your main parts of your outfit like jackets

my style this year is largely based on what clothing suits my body type. heavy boots really break up my thin frame and they look great, and turtlenecks accentuate my long spindly limbs. i think its mostly going to be a black and white year for me, with a bit of leeway in bewteen. No blue jeans though, theyre fucking gross period.

i will probably make my own clothes, and make extra garments and sell them to close friends, i will use cold coloours and B&W as a base theme

the main ideas for them are:

>multi-colour panels in top garments
>SLP f/w15 ripoff for winter
>thick creased fabrics for summer in beige and cream palettes

or i will just probably go full memechrome again idk, it really depends on my capital this year
