I do think they mostly look better on men than on women because for women the ideal is more of smooth even skin, and to me a tattoo in the middle of it often takes away from that and makes the surrounding skin look more like "blank space" and less like all that's attractive about skin. Going to get my "forest" sleeve tomorrow. Me and the artist have been working on it for about a month (just designing).

The first layer is going to be super detailed conifer trees with withered (like winter seasonal) deciduous trees here and there. As you look "deeper" into the forest, he's going to obscure the trees to abstract, like it's foggy. Use lighter colors mixed in with whites and grey tones.

The elbow piece is going to mesh in with my 1/4 sleeve that is getting redone (vine pattern). It's going to be reminiscent of the red and white roses like on Craft Spells "Idle Labor" or New Order's "Power, Corruption and Lies" album cover. I'll post pics when I'm done - Supposed to sit in for 7 hours to get the bulk of the forearm finished (I hate doing it in stages).

I haven't seen what he's done to the design for a while, hopefully I'm not disappointed and have to prolong this any more. I've been planning/saving/waiting almost two years for this.
