This is the shit. Not fit for my personality, but super cool.

Right now I'm looking for something sort of along these lines but a bit more subtle. Basically anything that will allow me to apply more abstract things without them seeming out of place. I feel like a good basis for that is a more relaxed wardrobe in general, and that's what I'm working with - still on skinny / slim trousers, but I'm trying out big engineer type boots, or printed coats, or oversized knits. Things that are a bit more fun, but not too gaudy. It's definitely about defining the difference between tasteful or gaudy.

It'd be more accurate to say that April 77 rips 90's, early oughts Dior Homme and that Hedi is just picking up where he left off, but April 77 has always been a VERY overtly rock-inspired brand (hence the label and the picks and the digital singles they gave out with jeans), so it's a little silly to say that they're copying a label that they—technically—preceded. And they've done a lot to distinguish themselves from other brands, denim or otherwise. The picks aside, their Colordrives and Raw styles were a big part of the push into skinnier denim at the boutique/contemporary range and their vegan sensibility has always been front and center in their designs.
