Okay,/fa/. I've been growing a beard for just over a couple months now and I'm getting frustrated with my cheeks. The growth is so weak. I'd shave it off, but I've got such a baby-face that I'd rather keep it.

My question is: Are there any good facial hair alternatives? I have a triangle/heart shaped face and medium wavy blonde hair

Let's see this so called beard of yours.

Coverage on the cheeks is usually weaker than on the rest of your beard, this happens to anyone. You've got hair there so they're probably just slow-growers who will start to kick in at a later time. The rest is pretty decent for two months.

This said, try to drop a few pounds too bb.

Alright, thanks for the reassurance. Confused about the weight comment though! Most people tell me I'm too skinny; I'm 5'8" and 132lb. Maybe it's just an unflattering photo.

How's my coverage?
2 weeks without shaving.

if you're growing a beard it doesn't mean you should grow the rest of your facial hair as well. Shave the unibrow, it's growing down your nose for fuck's sake.

Yeah mang, it's pretty disgusting, but I get treated like an adult so it's a worthwhile sacrifice.

I guarantee you would look better with just stubble, like 3mm

>> No.9285743

>>9285733
Maybe. I think the growth is too sparse to actually get a decent stubble look out of it though. Plus my chin is quite thin and I look like a twink without the beard.

You can clean that up and it would look pretty decent.

First thing you gotta realize is that you need to get a real razor, not those safety razor five blade shit. Either get a double edge or a straight razor. Those will allow you to get nice clean lines.

Wash up and get your beard nice and soft. Look straight at the mirror and start working at the neck. Trim up under the chin. Move the beard line up to where it looks good. This depends on the face and the beard.

Once you have the neck line it's time to define the cheek line. Your cheek has very patchy and spotty growth so your cheek line should be nice and low almost down to the jaw line. If it's not even remotely thick then it might as well be smooth skin so it looks clean.

The best way to approach this is to approach your intended cheek and neck lines over a period of half a dozen shaves or so.
> pic related, where you might decide to run the lines.

first time you shave go about halfway there. the next time you do, scooch a little closer and keep moving in until it's where you want it

If you pick a line that's too low right off the bat then backing away is more of a psychological chore.

There's tons of beard sites where you can go and post pictures of your mug and neck and guys with much more experience than you will help you pick out a good line

You're welcome man.

Most of the time a double edge razor is all you need. I prefer a straight edge with a french tip. The straight razors really give you a fine control on where to put the line.

Once you have your lines established then you can pretty much set it and forget it. Just shave to that line every day. If you're 25 and under then your beard is still growing in. So once or twice a year back the line off for a couple shaves to see if you can raise it up (if you want)

thread related : I'm starting using Minoxidil for beard gains, my beard is not bad, but I want a fuller mustache, higher cheek lines and coverage of the area under my mouth.

idk if this is a good board to post this, maybe on /fit/ too, but i'll keep you updated with the results if it works, in case some other guys are interested in growing a thicker beard as well.

Exactly 1 month of growth. Pissed that I have a weak joining line between the moustache and beard but I don't think there is any way to fix that. Unless it looks better if I leave it for longer. Also terrified to shave the neckline incase I fuck it up

Yes I am in the process of losing weight
