So what does /fa/ do for a living? I'm curious because the shit you guys usually rave about costs some serious cash, so I wonder what kind of job you guys have to pay for all that shit.

>> No.9276421

Having been here recurrently for four years I can tell you with high certainty that the majority of /fa/ posters, that is to say 50% and above, siphon their money from their parents, skimp on miscellaneous expenses (such as rent) to the point of recklessness to fund their fashion, leech of trust funds, and are college kids rife with a insecurities (myself included). The remaining 5% have interesting leads in life and have nothing to prove, so they generally vacate this board after two or three months of either vitriol or brown-nosing by others here. I can't blame them for that, this is a place for insightful and interesting losers.

Of all the boards on 4chan, /fa/ is second perhaps to only /fit/ in terms of the acceptance of deceitfulness: fashion is a placard of wealth, here it is interpreted to be the quantification. Like /fit/, there is a large user base who believes augmenting themselves through their body and clothes will attract women, when those same women, when around these vapid people for long enough, want nothing to do with them and with good reason

Well made clothing has a sheen to it though. Take for example, a half-lined poly blend jacket versus a fully-lined worsted wool blazer, the difference is absolutely discernible from a mile away. The same bodes with leather shoes, denim, chambray, and as stated above wool; you don't have to be examining the stitching with your own hands to notice a well-made garment, that is to say, to pick apart a Brunello Cucinelli sweater and one from Old Navy, though this is an extreme example

Fashion is a hobby, other people spend their earnings on cars, toys, stamps, furniture, you name it.
Fashion is a cool hobby because you actually enjoy and use the things that you buy, instead of filling the shelves with it.

agreed, the people here can be abhorrent. It's typically a shallow place full of hatred, but I can see the shimmer in the shit.

But to stay on topic:
I work hard at a standard laboring job while working on art on the side. The 2 ventures seem to be changing places as my art spreads and my willingness to break my back for a company begins to take its toll on my body.
But I cop things on sale, and I am okay wearing cheap clothing as long as it represents me. I spend the most on sneakers-the only time brands matter to me because I keep track of ones that I relate to the most.

Ideally: I'll have a small wardrobe of a few expensive pieces and continue to not care about what others think of my fits, as long as I'm continuing to represent myself, I'm comfortable and confident.

I'm 20, engineering student, p alrightat doing cocktails (I do bartending as hobby for friends part). And my schedule changes every week so I can't get a small job for money really.
But yeah, how flexible is your work and how hard is it to have it in the same time as your studies?

>What kinds of things have you done?
I've done pretty much everything I'd say, though I'm mostly a bottom. It was easy starting it for me, because I'm a half-faggot, so sleeping with men didn't bother me (even though I never slept with an older guy before that). I haven't slept with a woman for money yet, but it wouldn't be an issue.

>Is it easy work?
Fucking yes, if you know how to lie. I guess it would be impossible working as an escort if you're too honest. The point of being an escort is going to a nice restaurant, then in a nice hotel room, then fuck. The next morning you just grab your moneyz and leave. I always get a breakfast though, because let's face it, being an escort is fucking depressive, so I think it's good for the mood.

>What country?
France.

>How did you get into it?
Well I worked as an extra waiter in a hotel, and they started calling me less and less often. I had to pay school and my rent, so I tried finding another job, without success. I got on planetromeo, a gay dating website, and got paid to suck cocks with a few guys. The principle of getting paid to have sex didn't bother me, so I got to the next level of being a prostitute kind of naturally I guess.

>What sort of clients do you get as a mal escort?
Mostly 40-50 men with a significant bank account. Apart from that, some are gay, some are married, some are foreigners, it's very diversified.

Be aware that if you want to be an escort, you CANNOT be in a relationship. I still fuck with guys and girls of my age though (I'm 20).
