As long as it's facial soap then yeah.
If it's not facial soap then just get something made for your face to avoid the risk of drying it out in the long term.

If you have clear skin with no problems and you don't wear make up you don't need to worry about skincare. Skincare is more of a concern if you have specific needs (dry skin etc) or you put stuff on your face then it's more important.

You could invest in some facial sunscreen but at that point you might need a better cleanser to make sure your face is clear of that every night.

>> No.9252471

I recently decide to give myself and how I look some attention. I started browsing /fa/, bought some light face wash, and an exfoliator. Now I shower once a day, wash face, exfoliate twice a week, and have some leave-in stuff that makes hydrates and shines my hair.

After two weeks my skin is noticeably softer and the ladies been mirin the hair.

More hydrated skin.
Maybe a reduce in spots IF they are cause by dehydrated skin.
Less flaking if you had any

Witch hazel would dry out spots if applied on them. If applied all over would dry the fuck out of your face.

ok so on my nose recently its been really bad. it will start like a normal clogged pore, but then gets really really painful to touch, with no inflammation. then in around a day it gets ridiculously red and inflamed, and this covers the whole nose. i can still feel the spot where the actual pimple will appear. in a day or so the pimple will actually come out, but until then my nose is pretty much rudolph. idk what to about it. last time this happened it caused the whole side of my nose to go really dark after popping it (really bad idea) wtf do i do?? at least to make it smaller and stop the redness. fuck man this is some shit idk what im meant to do at all.

my routine atm is something like this:

morning:
wash with water
towel it off slowly, try not to be too aggressive
moisturizer (its got 30 spf ive been told thats enough)
if i have any pimples that are active ill put 5% benzoyl on top but very little

night:
wash with cetaphil
towel off slowly
moisturize with cetaphil
sometimes ill use vaseline if a part of my skin is really dry
every other night ill use an exfoliant wipe (simpleskincare.ca)

the rest of my skin is manageable, ill get like 1 pimple a week. its getting better, except just in the last month this is the second time this nose thing has happened. any help would be nice. pic related. atm its just really shiny and red (pic is shit but hopefully someone can help out)

I do it all the time. (MtF) The most difficult part of face waxing (for me at least) is keeping the follicle clean after the hair's been pulled out. Other wise I get red bumps/acne in this areas.

>don't wash your face, soap will ruin your skin
>exfoliate

Jesus, everyone on this board is retarded. Wash your face however you want, and put a basic lotion on it. Your face will be moisturized due to the fact that it's inundated with water right after you wash it, and the oils and waxes suspended in the lotion will prevent your skin from drying out after you've washed the natural oils away.

Do not exfoliate, ever. It's as bad as tanning. Think about it, you're scrubbing away skin cells, forcing new cellular growth and rapidly aging your skin. Liver spots, wrinkles, everything you think you're getting rid of by exfoliating. If you really like that freshly sandpapered look, do it once a month at most.

If your sunblock or SPF lotion doesn't contain Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide, it's not really sunblock.

Titanium Dioxide is a "suspected" carcinogen.

And only by some European agencies, if I recall correctly.

And, considering how much TiO2 is used in everything from cosmetics to candy, and has been for centuries, if there is any carcinogenic effect from TiO2, it's so minor that it's practically null. I'd be much more worried about recently synthesized organic compounds, which haven't really been studied. Especially when they don't block full spectrum UV anywhere near as well as TiO2 or ZnO.

Exfoliating however, should increase your likelihood of developing skin cancer just by the mere fact that it promotes premature cell division.

There's nothing you can do besides stop consuming whatever darkens your teeth. But some of these tips might help you to slow down darkening if you aren't willing to give up tea:

- drink through a straw. might reduce direct contact with your teeth.
- drink water afterwards. helps to remove remnants of tee/coffee from teeth.
- brush regularly. but remember to wait after drinks/meals.

Stay away from domestic remedies and don't use whitening toothpaste too often. Fucking up your teeth for some marginally lighter tone isn't worth it. And honestly I'd say your teeth have a pretty normal color. Don't let the pearl white fake alien teeth of the Hollywood stars fool you.
