so, i have a few questions about american crew forming cream, or just any wax in general, what routine would you recommend for washing the product out, and shampooing and conditioner

pic related its what im starting to use

They have a product removing shampoo that works like a charm. That's all I use. If you don't wanna commit use the small one first

how terrible is this probably for your hair

also, what's the difference between, say, american crew fiber and american crew forming cream

fiber has a stronger hold and more of a matte finish, this is like a nice shine and it gives a really touchable feel to your hair, itll feel sticky for the first 10 minutes but after that it gets soft and really great

is it very heavy?

abusing my hair with a beanie and a blowdryer has got it sticking up enough without fiber for me

but now when it's dry i don't like the "texture" of it if you know what i mean

i guess i could use something to shape it if it's not too heavy

I usually am skeptical, but my dad is a hair stylist and recommended it. Obvi not the best but better than Pantene and other shit. The difference is the hold to shine level. Fiber which I use is high hold and no shine. Otherwise a matted look. Which I enjoy. Forming is the middle I believe.
>>9214036 it all depends on your hair type. you don't necessarily have to condition every day but your hair is going to get greasy with the stuff on and you might want to shampoo it. adding this cream though your natural look is going to be a little bit different so shampooing won't really make a difference and you might want to do it anyway. but you can play out different techniques to see what works better for you

ty ive been really conflicted lately over using a new wax bc i feel using too much poo and conditioner will ruin my hair, i have really thick and wavy hair and i often get a lot of compliments on it and i dont want to do anything to ruin it, its just im trying a new style that requires a bit more of a shine and less hold so i figured id pick up this since the reviews were quite well

this is the style im aiming for i got it cut recently

I'm sure it's very efficient at removing the product, but yeah the ingredients are shit.

I have the forming cream, using it all every now and then but I don't really like it. I don't want to have to wash it out, not every day at least. It also isn't great for me anyway. I think I need a very low maintenance hairstyle.

I swap between using AC Forming cream, Hanz De Fuko Scheme Cream and Hanz De Fuko Sponge Wax.

I rinse my hair with water every morning to style it and every night before I go to bed to get the product out.

The products are water based so they wash out easier than you think OP. Especially HDF since its all natural ingredients and water based.

I shampoo/condition once a week.

can i see a photo of your hair with the AC forming cream?

No, it's not heavy at all. After a while, unless you've got a shitload in your hair, I've forgotten that I was even wearing any product. This is in reference to the fiber.

I use the green american crew for daily use and its wonderful. I actually always make sure to have one of each of the american crew forming creams because theyre all super useful for varying social circumstances. I use Dove conditioner at night in my post-gym shower and I shampoo with Every Man Jack's cedarwood in the mornings, I get compliments on my hair often. The product isnt too heavy (the green at least) so Its honestly ideal for daily use.
