What's /fa/'s sock game is like? I've never really seen a sock thread around here and I'm looking for some suggestions.

I've been recently looking for socks to pair with my boots and I came across richer-poorer's US made collection which is pretty fucking rad and everything's 50% off with code NCFF50. But other than that, I don't know where else to look.

Any brands, pairing suggestions, or deals circulating?

I have the same problem. Kinda sucks. It only happens to my right foot though cause the toe next to the big one a lot shorter, there's more tension pulling on the big toe. Specially if i hadn't clipped my toe nails it saws through the sock.

All of my Smartwool and merino hiking socks have lasted a very long time. I have a slight hole forming on one pair that's nearly 8 years old.

I usually have to throw out my bulk socks that I buy for construction or kitchen work within a year of consistent use.

But for /fa/ socks, there are lots out there. Anonymousism, Yaeca, Moss Green, Mr Gray, Kapital, Norse Projects, Universal Works, nonnative, Maple, Chup, White Mountaineering, The Hillside, Missoni. Even J Crew has decent stuff, and I'm a huge fan of bulky winter socks by Wigwam, Cabot and Darn Tough.

Came here to say Smartwool merino ultralight hiking socks. Around $14/pair at Academy or online. They are charcoal grey and go with everything I wear. I have had my first pair for 4 years, and have bought 2 other pair for rotation. You can wear merino multiple times before washing due to the antibacterial and wicking properties of the wool. Doesn't get hot in the summer if you get the lightweight ones, and this coming from someone whonlives in 90F+ for 9mos out of the year. No holes in any of them yet, and I wash/dry mine with all my other clothes.
