i want to start eating better/healthier now that I'm on x-mas break, fuck waiting for new years resolutions. recommend any fruits, meals, drinks?

>> No.9204636

replace all soda and other shit with water or teas
replace all candy and similar snack shit with fruits, but actually fuck fruits, I eat berries instead
use common sense and dont eat shit in general
if you want to eat out go to some le sushi prace ;^) not to taco bell or wherever you disgusting north american pig go to. basically replace environment so you dont eat shit.

>> No.9204647

you should eat meat+vegetables+fruit+nuts+fish
eat dairy if you want to and you can tolerate it
avoid foods with glucose >>>IF<<< you're glucose intolerant
there is no benefit to avoiding high glucose foods if you're not intolerant
use and eat things cooked in good oils like avocado, coconut, olive and macadamia.
avoid canola, cottonseed, soybean, rapeseed (canola), grapeseed, corn, vegetable, sunflower, safflower, sesame, margarine oils and things cooked in them.
why?
>highly processed seed oils contain high (read VERY HIGH) levels of omega-6 fatty acids, which – when consumed in excess – have detrimental health effects
>most polyunsaturated oils are highly prone to oxidation and rancidity, which turns these so-called ‘heart healthy’ oils to toxic liquids. And although some of them have a high smoking point, making them seemingly suitable for frying and cooking at high temperatures, their chemical structure is so unstable (again, due to the fatty acid ratio) that they really shouldn’t be cooked with at all

don't eat grains. beans and legumes are a gray area, you can eat them if you want to but you can get more nutrients in vegetables for the same price. stock on up on that broccoli, spinach, kale, etc.
Also beans and legumes contain high amounts of phytic acid, this isn't a problem unless you're eating a large amount. The thing is... most do.
>Phytic acid binds to nutrients in the food, preventing you from absorbing them. It doesn’t steal any nutrients that are already in your body, but it does make that bowl of lentils a lot less nutrient-dense than the Nutrition Facts panel would have you believe
throw out the energy drinks and bars, eat sugar-heavy fruit instead.
increase meat and egg intake if you're lifting, if not lifting only moderate/small meat intake is required.

obvious stuff like avoid soda, fast food and fruit juices.

there, you're healthier than literally 99% of people in regards to diet.

depends on your weight

Supps
creatine
all essential vitamins and minerals (list on wikipedia)
omega-3 from fish oil
green tea supp for immune system
vslr #3 (probiotic for your intestines and digestive system)
insoluable fiber
tart cherry for your joints and ligaments

meal suggestions
water (espec 4 creatine)
whole milk
chicken & turkey
green veggies

when you really need energy
whole wheat pasta with olive oil
steal cut oats

fruits
doesnt really matter just watch out for the fruit sugar

cheating is fine as long as you eat like this more often than not. Go ahead, eat a hamburger and a large shake.

you're pretty much either a perfect skeleton otter or tank right now depending on calories and if you did both cardio and lifting

whenever the amount of omega-6 is higher than omega-3 in your body it's unhealthy. Depending on the ratio disparity it can be more dangerous and a lot of foods have higher 6 than 3. It's kind of what you said, I saw quite a few research papers on this and it's pretty important.

My strategy has been to have a half liter glass of water next to my computer at all times. You don't crave soda when you're full of water 24/7

Not necessarily
I mean it's good for keeping you form feeling hungry longer than carbs but it's not something you absolutely need to have on every meal as long as your daily intake isn't too low.

eat at a caloric deficit (80%)
and exercise (the other 20%)

for the former, google search "caloric deficit calculator" and type in your weight and age and how often you do exercise and it will tell you how much you need to eat to lose weight
