I kinda agree and disagree. People are probably somewhat brainwashed by what others like and what people spam but at the end of the day if they are buying shoes that they personally like and can justify owning them then it shouldn't really matter.

Meme shoes just come about from people being happy with their purchase and recommending them. Then more people buy the same etc, I don't think just because you bought shoes from someone's recommendation / a hiveminds recommendation it makes it a bad purchase for you personally. It only becomes a problem if someone is literally buying shoes not because they like them personally but they want to fit in or whatever other bs.
