Okay, we've established that we are indeed looking at the same shoe. But what you describe is not necessarily a bad thing IMO.

For instance, i like basketball shoes. They are comfortable, suitable for day to day wear. I like how they are chunky and that you can incorporate it quite easily into an outfit. But often, i feel like this type of shoe is too loud. Lot's of colours, laceloops here and there, mismatch of materials, some 3M thrown on for good measure etc. These eoffer the good things of a chunky sneaker but with the benefit of a sleek design and smooth silhouette. And i like that. And you don't. And that's all totally groovy.

Well, already own a pair of some TNFs but they're chunky as fuck and not very "cozy" on the foot then you have to do a lot of walking (much like any boots though). SO I'm looking for a "compromise" of sorts. Maybe canvas sk8s plus wool socks can work as well, come to think of it.

They're comfortable but the heel wears down really quickly. I wore a pair for a yearish and a lot the heel wore off. If you're looking for comfort, you could try looking into new balance. Those were more comfortable when I wore them.
