I love my saddleback leather wallet, it fits in my front pocket, holds my cards and cash. I don't need anything else.

What kind of wallet do you have?

It's a beautiful wallet but I kind of regret not getting a card holder like OP's.

A wallet is just overkill these days when you carry minimal cash and a few cards.

These wallets are thin as fuck for being bifolds. Most of the companies also make card holders like in ops pic (but better quality).

>> No.8975099

To anyone that suffers carrying around a massive bifold filled with useless crap, I urge that you try the simple card holder.

Seriously.
Years and years i'd cart around a bifold filled with shit i never used - tons of old receipts etc which i'd empty out every so often. All those loyalty/discount cards that I never use etc.
Chuck it.

Simple card holder - no space for that crap you accumulate so easily.

Essential/everyday usage cards (6).
A few bills in the large pocket.

Coins go in coin pocket in pants or whatever.

Simple, slips into pants/top pocket/back pocket/asscrack easy.

Seriously, try it.

Do it faggots.

I have a cardholder and it is really such shit for holding cash. It's also loosened to the point that if I take out a card all the others will fall out. It's convenient and small but I'm going to get something like >>8973959 and just stuff it in my front pocket so I can actually carry money.

I found mine in a bargain bin at a factory outlet of a particular brand in my country.

They are oddly hard to find, and by that I mean the simple ones that have a few card spots, a large central pocket for bills and maybe an ID window and hopefully without some hideous branding on them.

I keep meaning to replace it with one with an ID window, like OP's saddleback et. al.
But since saddleback extorts with international postage (postage is 50, wallet is 30 so fuck that) I never get around to it.

Coronado leather, also in the states but likely much better made, have CXL and shell cordovan ones with ID windows.

I'd spring for a shell one, but I have doubts about shell's durability in regards to stretching.

CXL will def stretch, so I can fit in more cards than what it's designed for.
Look them up, nice shit but pricey.
Cheaper for you since you live so close to the USA.

For now, the one I have more than suffices and don't really need an ID window.

I don't know if I like it or not. It's great for handling cards, but it feels too thick to have in my front pocket, I don't want to have anything in my back pockets and not all of my jackets have an easily accessable inner pocket.

>> No.8975170

eg
"GuardedGoods" store on etsy.
guys like this are all over the net.

If I ever tire of my bargain find, I might just commission one of these hobby leather workers to make something exactly to what I want, with the right layout of pockets and exactly leather type and colour etc.
Or I could just get the coronado one.
Whatever.
No rush.

A light coloured one would look very, very nice with time.

Too many flaps.
More fiddly bits = more hassle to get at things you want.

That's why i'm a now a fan of the card holder layout like the one in the op - no flaps. just slots.
Cards go in the outer, tiered slots and the cash, folded once in half, goes in the large central slot.

Don't need to carry so much cash these days with cards, so I don't need to stuff it in there, but it can take it if need be.

A money clip is intriguing, but it's just not as secure if you're carrying cards with you. I know guys that have tried and have accidentally lost cards and shit because they slipped out when they were accessing the cash.

>> No.8975195

>>8975162
the ones with this shape mean that you have to fold your bills, if you have them, twice
i would avoid
less folds the easier to get at stuff

>> No.8975198

>>8975181
>More fiddly bits = more hassle to get at things you want.
I do have to defend it a bit here, though. 90% of the time I'm going to have my card out faster than OP because you have two outer slots with thumb holes to easily access your most used cards. It is a bit of a pain to access your cash though, but for someone like me who pretty much never handles cash at all that doesn't really matter.
