You are probably better off with just the regular CDG chucks the Jack Purcell ones seem unnecessary since Jack Purcells by themselves are already a p. good design.

I have them in cream for the hightops. they make for a nice pair of beaters but do not wear them if you walk a lot because your feet will die.

have the cream hightops, they're pretty nice and look better when they're a bit scuffed up and dirty

Cop the old Jack Purcells for 80. They blow the both out of the water, and are a little more unique imo. (And better quality than the new JPs trust me I own the new pairs and really wish I had the old ones instead)

REALLY If you were gonna get them for 30 bucks, I wouldn't worry about it too hard they make okay beaters, but mine in canvas make my feet sweatier than my normal chucks.

Not sure what the deal is with places still selling them though, since I figured production was over.

oh i see, yeah there's a noticeable difference in quality for sure. I'll keep these on my radar, they're 15$ cheaper than stan smiths which were my next choice for white shoes, so there's that as well. main thing i'm worried about with converse is that my feet are pretty wide, so I feel like they'd bulge out of the side a bit which would look bad. That's the reason i've strayed away from converses my whole life, but i thought these looked really nice for the price

Also, on the topic of old jack purcells, would you consider it a waste to replace my old shitty new pair with a pair of the higher quality older models?
Not gonna lie - my entire shoe collection consists of converse in nonshit colorways, so I'm kinda hesitant on copping ANOTHER pair instead of using money to branch out shoes, but I'm feeling that I'll kick myself if I miss out on copping these since I don't think they've been in production for the past year, and probably won't again for a while.

Yeah, push comes to shove you can just go to a store and try on a normal pair of converse. My new pair of JPs sized identically to my normal pairs, so I don't think there will be that much of a difference. You could size up one and add a thicker insole and that would solve all problems I bet.
