Yeah, I have relatively small feet and tend to favour really top/midsection heavy silhouettes with baggy trousers so finding footwear that gels with it, I can't always wear docs or combats.
I've looked at bigger workboots in brown that will go with a lot of what I wear, but a lot of the shapes just don't work for me

You don't. The button-up looks cheap and is not as good looking as you seem to think. The hoodie on it is an awful idea. The cargo pants are horrible - I don't care if you "need" them (spoiler: you don't), ditch that fucking shit.
Buy button-ups made of heavier cloth with actually interesting materials if you want to make them a staple of your outfits. Wear sweaters or coats/jackets over them. Get some decent pants that actually fit and do not have some god awful dark green color.
To be perfectly honest, you'd be better off lurking at MFA for some time, the place is better suited to give you decent advice.

I feel that pulling off a fit is a lot more about confidence than actual combination of individual garments.
