the campers are much better than this pair (these are unwearable) but to pull them off you'll need to really really know what you are doing imo. most of the time contrast stitching and rubber stripes on shoes are something to avoid. a good jump up from converse that is versatile and easy to pull off would be something really plain like the adidas superstars or stan smiths or rod lavers.

obviously if you really love them then keep them, but i think there are better options, esp. if they are your first pair of shoes that aren't converse. the main problem with both of the shoes you posted is that neither of them fully commit to being a sneaker and end up being some kind of hyrbrid that looks like something an old man might wear and that is advertised as a 'comfortable, casual shoe'.

Copped these skinny asos chinos expecting a decent fit like the other pair I have.

Material felt significantly worse, pockets not nearly as soft,and the fit was unbelievably tight. My other pair was almost too loose around my legs, but these were practically spray-on skinny. I can't imagine their super skinny fit.

I'm kind of paranoid that they messed up the fits and there's no way to check because I can't find a tag of any sort on it. Just a square, black asos one with just the logo.

Hopefully I get the fit I want with their slim chinos.
