how much better are haircuts that are like $30+?

I usually get my haircut at random ass chains for like 20 bucks or whatever, but Im thinking of getting a young stalin or whatever, and was wondering if it was worth it to go to the more high end hair salons
Or will the haircut turn out the same either way? Anyone have any experiences to compare? Do you get what you pay for?

I get my haircut at a salon and it's normally 45 but she gives me it for 35. It is so much better there is no comparison. I will never get a cheap cut again.

$200 for the massage room with happy ending

is it much better in terms of actual quality of cut? or is a lot of money just for the experience of the whole thing?

generally, yeah its better. you get what you pay for.
there are some places that will charge a lot and rip you off though, so do some research, find online reviews (yelp, etc)

my gf is a stylist at sassoon salon in NYC, one of the highest rated salons in the world. it's $70 to get your haircut by her.
but she went to cosmetology school, plus a 2 year apprenticeship, and then did a training program in london, and still trains even now with tip tier cutters.... so yeah, some people are totally worth the money.

i'm lucky because i get free haircuts from her, but even if we break up i don't think i could ever go back to a cheap haircut

>Get my first $100 haircut in February last year.
>Looks so fucking good that I know I'm going to get shit for it from pleb friends
>Spend a solid 30 minutes making it look worse before going out.

Took me a couple of months to stop doing that. But yes, the quality of the cut, from the general shape to the layering, is much, much better.
I think it depends on your hair, though. Some people's hair will look the same regardless of how well its cut.

yeah and if you get a cut where you want to style it a certain way and it requires a lot of product (or more than 1) you better get good at it, cuz you won't always have the stylist.

The most expensive I've paid was like $20ish.

And that's because the woman rubbed my head and then I got a boner and was happy I still had that robe/cover thing on.

OP, go to the oldest barbershop in town and he'll give you a proper haircut. barber = for men/ stylist = wimmen

I cut my own hair with an electric clipper.

Around $70 i normally pay,

which is rather pricey, granted. But they know me there, they know what i do and do not like. They know what suits me, and they know what to recommend or not. The comfort in walking in, having a chat and not having to constantly watch and worry that the person hovering above you is going to royally fuck it up is well worth that extra 30-40 $. That and not having to listen to some shitty radio channel, noisy kids and god forbid middle aged women.

I used to pay $40 for a haircut and get a massage and free beer.

Then they told me they were raising their prices to $45. So I stopped going.

$45 is too much for a haircut when I get it cut every 8 weeks.

Went to a barber for the first time and paid $30, the guy was a cheeky cunt but he cut my hair ok. But I still want to find somewhere cheaper.

>> No.8678062

Depends.

Mainly because of the length of you hair. This is one of the main criteria. You can go to a shitty chain or a top high end 10 / 10 rated chain with marble and gold seats it won't change shit if your hair is too short. The shorter your hair is, the lesser the possibilities are.

It depends. I've got some 13€ haircuts that were much better than some 25€ ones. Sometimes the extra price is just about high level faggotry like someone taking your coat and saving it in a wardrobe plus a head massage before the cut in some 'chic' (pleb) space with a big name (nobody actually gives a shit about) over the entry door. But then just have an even shittier haircut than what you'd get at a normal barber.

Then in some places you actually notice the difference. Both by how it looks and how it feels. You touch your hair and it's just different because of how they did whatever they did.

I seriously wouldn't mind paying even 50€ every month for a godly haircut, but it's pretty hard to find an actual good hairdresser that's not some useless faggot pretending to be top shit without living in some big city like NYC, London, Paris or whatever. Someday...
