dark brown's probably the most versatile, generic boot color
goes with all
some say it doesn't go with black
i think i've seen it work maybe once.

dk brown will go with all blues worth wearing, so that's 95% of all denim done

it's basically just a tall version of the desert boot
with more eyelets

best version is the beeswax version, which is also usa only I think, even for the shorter chukka version.

it's a cheap, if youre in the usa, decent enough looking boot for those that don't want to spend much

not worth it to import to anywhere else though, like I said.

Obenauf's is actually fantastic as a conditioner and waterproofer, but it has the unfortunate side effect of darkening the shit out of leather. I only use it only black boots.
I've found that Leather Honey works fantastically. Doesn't darken leather (more than any other conditioner, and the color will lighten with wear), but does increase suppleness and strength. Leather drinks this stuff up like manna from heaven.

Those are $500. They are black dayton service boots, and you can't really find anything of that make for much less.

Save up and get yourself something good. Of all things to skimp on, boots are the worst thing. Get something quality and it will last you your whole life. Try and get budget, even 2000 or 350 boots and they will fall apart at some point.

Look for shoes with a goodyear welt and do your goddamn research instead of chasing a look on the cheap and getting something that will fall apart in a few months.

I've ragged on it for ages up till very recently. Always thought that it was either fugly as fuck, because of the moc-stitch

>What would you recommend in that price range then?
Depends where you are.

This is why RW are such good value - build quality, materials quality - available instantly and good company support.
But they don't have the shape.

There are no other boots with that Jumper boot/service boot styling for under 400 besides some Indonesian makers, Chevalier being one of them which are, time and all others added up, aren't really worth it.

People buy them out of desperation, wait more than a month, when they could've saved up for something better.

Just started to get into fashion, is there something wrong with these light boots?
Usually wear them with some wide light jeans.

Do you have any idea how shitty US Midwest winters can be? Some of us need fairly heavy-duty shoes just to not lose our feet to frostbite over winter.

i have both some redwing amber saddle irs and some black leather chelseas but neither is condusive to my growing fondness of activewear so i'm gonna get them resoled with vibram sneaker soles a la the Acne Musils.

with the redwings should i do pink/salmon? sortof like the asics midnight blooms or..?

Would these be suitable for winter? I'd buy RW in an instant but brokebois gotta do what brokebois gotta do.
My main concern is the sole, it has absolutely no grip. I'll be tripping the whole fucking winter. And not in the good way. It usually snows p much in the winter and the temperatures drop to ~-20-27C for a few weeks so a lot of ice is to be expected. The boots are Caterpillar Orsons btw.
