You don't go up to strangers and basically go "wanna be my friend" because you think they may be cool. That's superficial and creepy. Go to events (things above for example) that happen regularly, that involve some things you like, and that you're going to have the chance to talk to people. If you need to develop social skills because you're an awkward mess, first: that can be endearing so don't be embarrassed, second: you can't develop those skills any other way but to get involved socially. Eventually, with enough tries, someone is guaranteed to like you enough to be your friend. After a few times with them and being comfortable with them, ask them for their number and if they want to do something sometime. Eventually they're friends. Eventually you'll befriend a social butterfly who's basically a treasure trove of connections to new people to meet. Eventually you'll get invited to a party by one of them.

I hoped this short essay helps one of you shut-ins. I'm not a social butterfly but I've been to parties, was invited to one tonight, and have some friends. I didn't always, it took some understanding of what I mentioned above before I had any.

well, I started out as a skinny guy, so my way of gaining more muscle mass was eating as much as I possibly can and getting enough protein. When I'm trying to get heavier, I'm usually sticking with beans, rice, chicken breast and tuna. All of those, except for rice, have a lot of protein and beans are easy to eat a lot (at least for me)
That way + exersise I gained 6-7kg in 3 months while staying lean

This. Parties are terrible for your clothes, drinks get spilled, fights break out, drunk people fall over, people throw up. Don't wear anything you actually care about, and make sure you aren't wearing anything that the average person notices as expensive. People get robbed all the time at parties, if a group of guys at a party notice your brand new $250 shoes, there's a good chance they will leave with you and try to rob you on your way home. This obviously happens a lot more at high-school parties but it's probably always safe to assume that you shouldn't wear your nicest clothes to house parties.
