Uni was def worth it for me, I met a lot of cool people and had fun the whole way through. I did an arts degree so it was chill but I actually have a very decently paying, very satisfying job so it's been good for me.

idk how many jobs there are but it's an interesting subject and one that I know a lot of people follow through highschool and into uni; maybe it's some appeal of the subject's promise of direct applicability to understanding and helping people.
And I think there a few jobs around, they're just not /core/ jobs... if that makes sense?
For example, I have a second cousin who's a postgrad in Psych who's being employed to manage the rollout and implementation of the NDIS... except for some reason he's been promoted into a position where essentially he's a number-cruncher, essentially because they wanted somebody who could more accurately gauge the impact of the data they were receiving than someone with no background in the field could.
I hope that makes sense, I'm pretty blazed.

honestly degrees are important and I probably could have advanced to a decent job easier with a STEM degree but I know so many people who graduated STEM with no networking skills, no confidence, no work experience and a shitty GPA, and they're all working shitty jobs or unemployed.
