first of all, the bag. lose it. burn it, dont ever a bag like that again.

second, the blazer, it looks bad, doesn't make sense with the outfit. it looks like youre trying too hard. even though i dont know jackshit about blazers, i can easily tell it doesnt work especially with the rolled sleeves.

third, get skinnier denim, or at least more tapered around the legs.

Everything fits, nice simple contrast, a bag that's not god awful.

It's not going to change the world but that's a really nice and simple outfit, I'm not a huge fan of rolled sleeves on blazers (tend to think it looks too try-hardish) but I think it absolutely works there.

Explain to me how a blazer doesn't work with simple jeans, a t-shirt, and boots, especially when they are all monochromatic.

No, that's the perfect fit to wear with a blazer, and boots, if he went very slim he wouldn't be able to fit the pant leg over the boots and jeans tucked into boots is even MORE tryhard which you apparently think is what is wrong with the outfit. Also blazers are not meant to be ultra fitted, the one he is wearing fits properly as do his pants. Any skinner and the pants will make him look disproproiate. I know Saint Laurent does this but those blazers are tailored out the ass to be as skinny as possible (which his blazer is not) and it's also a very distinct look which I (along with many other people) don't really think looks all that great. It can work on the right person but more often than not super skinny jeans with a blazer is going to make you look like a twat.
