Higher end: James Perse relaxed stretch cotton jersey tee and an old Helmut Lang micromodal tee.

Higher end: T by Alexander Wang classic long sleeve. Soft as fuck, but threads became loose quickly, and it pills a lot although I hand-washed it. Not in a bad way, but it lost its "new" feeling quickly.

Most mall-tier is shit. I don't mind Club Monaco's stuff, the rest can fuck right off. Especially the $6 H&M tees, though I bought 3 black tees for work almost two years ago, and they barely piled and still fit fine. I don't get it.

That's because good linen is expensive. You want long staples, which usually need to be pulled by hand from a full-grown plant. Speedier and cheaper linen can be made by harvesting a younger plant with machinery, but you often lose some of the qualities that make linen so desirable.

Just because you can find a fabric for cheap doesn't mean that all fabrics of that kind ought to be as cheap. Frankly, if you want cheaper, I'd say a linen-cotton blend is a better value than low quality linen.

One of his tracks says "A.P.C. store, walkin' out with 8 bags..."
So i would think he is more of an APC guy.

Rick, Julius, Lost and Found, and plenty of other designers/high end labels make good drapey stuff that you can get for pretty good prices secondhand.
For good basic scoops, I guess labels like T by Wang, BLK DNM, and Acne are your best bet. Not sure about low end.

I own a heavyweight slub fleece, if the t's are anything like the sweatshirts, they're very high quality. I would assume they would be on the thicker side as well.
