Depends on where you live, but in america, "decent looking" will be fast fashion (H&M forever 21 Cotton-ON) but you will have clothes with terrible, terrible longevity. Some of my H&M items have held up, but avoid the knits, pants, and shoes in my opinion. Target will be a step up in how long your garmets last but a big step down in terms of fashion, but anons have made a few target items work.

If you want to get even cheaper, get into thrifting. It's a huge time investment but it can come up with some nice stuff if you know what you're doing.
