its not necessarily a fake as far as i know, every one of those curriculum bombers has the same errors, unless they're all fakes which i doubt given the 'raf simons limited edition' tags they all have have been used on legitimate garments before.

the 'curriculum' bombers are an odd case either way, if you check the outer left pocket you will see the 'forstex garments XXXL made in USA" tags, which isnt necessarily an indictment since all the early raf simons bombers were made by forstex garments. the difference though is that those early bombers - pyramid bomber, summa cum laude bomber - can all be traced to specific collections/runway shows, there is no official photography or print media about the 'curriculum' collection.

Box came today. Loving everything thus far. I was a little apprehensive about the chore coat online but I'm glad I took the chance; very durable and fits well, much better than Pointers I've had/tried on previously.

Oxford is excellent as always. Good thickness, will work for spring and summer quite well. Love the way the collars are on NP oxfords.

Shorts are nice. Quite thick chino fabric with nice detailing. Great button fly (I'm a sucker for button flys, anyone else?). The waist is a bit larger than the size lets on, and I'd recommend sizing down, for sure.

They carry quite a bit of personal value to me, I don't think I can just explain through a few posts what they mean but I will just say that Yohji and Rei are my two absolute favourite designers who I respect and appreciate to the max, and have both changed my views on life and fashion. These coats were exclusively worn by the staff backstage during the runway presentations for those seasons, and are very rare as they were not for commercial sale. The 80s - 90s for Yohji and Rei were a time of change, revolution, passion, and legendary work - and these coats pretty much carry that legacy with them which I hope to respect and "continue".

I got them from the American Eagle online shop hilariously enough, they're Timberland Earthkeepers Tremont boot.

The only reason I bought them was because I was gifted a $75 card to there and was unsure what to do with it.

Seem like good boots for the price still, I'm curious to see how the leather breaks in though. Seems there's a bit of glue on the leather where they sealed the storm welt, which doesn't really matter, but is still sloppy. Sole isn't leather though, it's some sort of eco-rubber. Looks decent, but I sort of wish they hadn't have made it grooved on the heel, almost as if they were trying to fake a stacked leather sole.

They're well worn for sure, but the only real damage I see is in the heel of the right shoe, which happens pretty often in leather lined shoes that aren't put on / taken on with a lot of care.

I'd say the rating mostly stems from the sole, that looks very rough, but very fixable. Maybe get a shoehorn, some leather lotion, and a good cobbler, and you'll be good.

the rise I believe is like 10.75", not the usual 8" on most "low rise" jeans. Its not a problem. They definitely are a great cut, would recommend.
