Hey /fa/ would a pair of these timbs and a thick red flannel for living in a small midwestern town?

I don't know your budget but, a pair of Red wing ice cutters or some Wolverine 1000 miles or Danner's would be cooler.

>>7830956
Carhartt wip is marketed more towards the EU since it's considered a skate brand their.

>> No.7831036

you can't do goof or full prep, or streetwear in a small midwest town.

>>7830988
This I like. Consider something a bit sleeker, chevalier service boot, OSB trench, Dayton Service, and yes, Viberg on the 2030 last, are all really nice.

Instead of red flannel, (which would work if all you want to do is blend in), consider a OCBD or chambray shirt. Jeans A LITTLE slimmer than the normal fair in your area and not dragging under your boot heels are probably good.

I just got a compliment on those an hour ago. And pretty much every other day. Blacks show a lot of respect for them. And women love them also. And they will probably last you twenty years. The "stitching" on the midsole is actually molded rubber, instead of actual stitching. That is pretty lame.

I might probably never buy one or wear it.. But there is this:http://www.carhartt.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10101&storeId=10051&productId=32132&langId=-1
Things to notice:
Quilted, insulation = plenty of warmth
If you are the doomsday prepper type, this blends in really well in any rural area. As opposed to some crazy camouflage shit.
It would be better if it was quilted with nylon in the body instead of flannel.

First time /fa/ poster. Was hoping to find a boot thread.

it's perfect, but you should also get swole and fill up the flannel... yeah it sort of looks like a lumberjack but that's fine as long as you're clean with it

How bad would this be to wear? http://www.bradfordexchange.com/products/114713001_us-navy-pride-mens-jacket.html

Bought two pairs of the boots because they were half price from the timberland website. One pair is flawless. One pair they didn't glue properly. Probably because they are made in the Dominican Republic or similar, so quality materials; but cheap labor. Inspect them carefully when they arrive/before you leave the store. Should also mention that the insoles are much nicer than what you would find in other boots/from other manufacturers

If you like it, go for it. I've always felt that you should not wear things like that unless you served though.
