what id call 'literary' rap had its heyday in the 90s and it isnt the standard against which all rap lyrics should be measured against. stuff like alliteration, wordplay, punchlines, complexity, consonance, etc., are all OK but if all rappers ever did was offer stuff like that rap would be boring.

i often look for what makes a rapper or a verse idiosyncratic, unique, different from others. there are a few choice lines i like from lean where his style aligns with the aesthetic of the music and the video.
