What does effay think about wool blend Blazers on men?

I keep thinking about how Anorak once described them as something that can really set a person apart from the crowd.

I have often seen them referred to as Fedora core.

I am considering copping some ann D Blazer that is wool blend a day wearing it with some worn jeans to give it a casual look.

What are your thoughts?

i like blazers and one is pretty high up on my purchase list

i wouldnt wear one with jeans though, "casualizing" something like that is the same reason you see kids in cargo shorts and a fedora, i dont even mean from le autism meme perspective either, im being serious. trousers and a button down is fine,

I'm not QUITE certain about what you're asking.
Are you curious about the idea of a tailored, casual jacket or are you curious about the fabric of such a jacket?

practical. yeah wear it if you want. I agree with trunks on the jeans thing. unless the jeans are black. Those work sometimes. Blue jeans are just kinda meh anyways unless you are wearing them outside or super casually. Other than that, blazers are incredibly versatile and should accentuate your body (broad shoulders, etc)

I see your point.

I'm curious about whether a wool blended Blazer would be considered more casual than some jackets.

Yes I was planning to wear it with black jeans.

How casual a jacket is depends partly on its fabric, yes, but cut and detailing are much more important. Unusual detailing, cut, fit, etc. will always make even the most tailored jacket stand out from classic jackets. I'd say it's pretty obvious when a jacket is casual and when it's dressy/formal.
