my collection is pretty small, I've just been experimenting and finding out what I actually like.

For example the boots (Red Wing 9161) were my first big shoe purchase back when I was really into that MFA style, don't wear them so much anymore. The Lunargrands were also in that phase and I don't think I've touched them in a half a year or more.
The Nikes are for work
The NBs were originally for work but I ended up liking them a lot then I wanted to try more sneakers
So I tried out CPs and really liked them too, then got Rafs recently and they're neat.
Oh and the Quoddy boat shoes are just for house slippers cause my roommates always get the tile floors messy as hell and they're comfy


IDK what my next purchase will be. I've been looking at Margiela GATs, I need a black low-top. If not those then probably another pair of CPs or some Butteros. don't ask me, I don't have the long-term experience to back up anything I'd say

if you want to know about cleaning and maintenance there's plenty of good info on the internet, like on styleforum and whatnot

anyway I just mink oil them when they get dry after however many months, and I always brush/wipe dirt off of them at the end of the day when I take them off. And I avoid mud and puddles and whatnot, when I can. I brush or shake snow off of them when I enter a building so it doesn't sit on them. etc.

I have some "light brown" creams and waxes and whatnot for the grenson and tricker's, but I'm not really sure how often I should apply them or what they do in the long term

I'm planning to get many more shoe trees, although I heard somewhere that you only need to put shoe trees in shoes for a few hours after wearing them, then you can take them out. I'm actually not sure that my shoe trees aren't deforming the shoes. I don't really know anything about shoe trees, honestly

In terms of construction an look, Indy boots are clearly the best. The 1K look great and feel great on tile, but they suck on concrete. The Iron Rangers aren't as good looking as the previous two, but they are better to walk in than the 1K, even with the somewhat uncomfortable insole.
