I'm going to drop the charade now - jokes are fun but it's an interesting topic to discuss.

/fa/ posts lyk dis sometimes because being aloof is seeng as very 'cool'. No one wants to be too obviously interested or attached or invested in what we're talking about - it has to seem natural. That's where it comes from and it's not likely to stop until it reaches critical mass.
