OP it all depends on what kind of /out/ shit you want to be doing, and where you plan to do it, and when you plan to do it. Do research on synthetic outdoor clothing for your climate and activity, and usually the higher-end brands will look very nice. I just wear jeans and layers and wolverine raiders and I've never had a problem, but people will always bitch when they see you're wearing cotton.

I'd say my /out/ fashion looks outright fabulous. If you're really serious I strongly recommend the M90-H jacket. It's the Swedish M90 camo so nothing will see you until you turn it inside out where it's neon orange. Could be hard to find though. I stole mine from the army when I was serving as stand in chopper gunner for an army exercise. Could probably try ebay.
