Check out April77 for a pair of nice and fairly affordable jeans. Norse Projects makes some really great basics, their tshirts are wonderful although I suggest sizing down if you don't like drapy/oversized, and you can find them for good prices from sellers. Reigning champ has really nice crewneck sweaters and hoodies as does Saturdays NYC. If you are looking for outerwear you can buy the Cheap Mondays Bart parka for around 200 bucks. Check out getting some GATs, as they are extremely affordable if you aren't getting the MMM ones. If you like chucks but want something a little more distinctive you can get the cdg chucks for around 90 bucks on eBay. If you ever want to go for really nice stuff Acne ace jeans are great as are acne Adrian's, and also CPs really are nice shoes and if you hunt around for em, you can get a lightly used or almost new pair for around 250 bucks

Yeah I guess I would describe it as stiff? Not sure if you mean that as a good or a bad thing. The size I have fits me great so I like the sturdy/firm feel and don't miss the more squishy flexible feel of some other sneakers when I wear them (although they are still reasonably elastic/malleable, it's not like you feel like you are wearing oxfords or something). Above all the leather is just very thick, which contributes to the thick/snug feel more than anything.

The tongue leather is thick as well so they are the type of shoes where you have to pull the tongue up when you put the shoes on. If you don't the tongue can dig in/rub your foot a little bit, it has done that a few times for me. And I undo and lace them up whenever I take them off/put them on; they're not the type of sneakers you just slip into. But I like this about them: when you lace them up nice the feeling is snug and sturdy. I guess someone else could find it cumbersome.
