One for hold and one for shine.

My hair is curly and really thick so i have to use the "hold" gel.

It usually takes me 5-8 minutes to style it which i think is really fast. Just aplly the product, brush it straight backwards and then make the part.

it needs LIFE. let it grow out a bit, then give it a product to make something other than dull. I have a similar hair color, but mine is a little lighter. I usually use 3 parts American Crew Fiber mixed with 1 part American Crew Pomade.

The fiber gives it hold without making it crunchy, the pomade gives it a sparkle/ sheen that makes the hair look just so much healthier.

That is, of course, if you don't use so much product that it becomes excessive. The finished product usually looks something like pic related.

As i told above, i don't use pomade because it stays in your head for 4-5 days if you don't properly wash it out.

I use one gel for hold and one for shine.

This pic is about 40 days after my haircut. I had the side part at 1.
The top back is about 10cms long and and the front reaches below my chin(i had a HY before).
But you can pull this off with just having your top at ~10cms.
Also , the pic isn't very clear but the part is shaved.

How the FUCK do you wash out wax from your hair? 4 times already i've used shampoo and conditioner and i still feel it in there.

I've been doing nopoo for a little over a month, but broke it last night. I was away from my house for a week and wasn't able to wash my hair daily. when I got home it felt like it needed a proper cleaning so I did shampoo and conditioner. awful mistake. hair was dry and frizzy and felt thin as fuck. today I just used conditioner and my hair is still drying so I don't know how that went.

I'm obviously going to stop using shampoo, but I feel like I need to do more than just rinse my hair daily like I did last month. what would be the best thing to do? conditioner daily, once or twice a week, use bar soap as shampoo, or something else entirely?
