Therefore people are afraid of standing out more than anything, resulting in extremely slow progress already hindered by the fact that Fashion is a very new concept in Korean culture.

After the Korean war, with no solid cultural fashion history or identity to build upon other than "dressing to social standards", Korean fashion has become EXTREMELY saturated with fast fashion, and the people have been fed this shit for so long that not alot of people dare to leave this comfort zone. People simply want to "look cool" and there is extremely little individuality.

This is why it baffles me that anyone would pay attention to and keep up with "Korean Fashion", I mean you'd have to be pre-tty stupid and mindless to gobble up such fake, manufactured "style" blinded by the glamour and sparkly shit that is intended to be marketed for teenage girls.
