I used to be super against hooded anything until I started wearing stuff that wasn't just a basic zip hoodie and found that I liked the drape around my neck much more than I thought I would if it was in the right weight.

Agreed. Men should not wear hoodies. Cardigans can be pulled off however. With cardigans I always feel the need to have a reason to wear it, that's why I usually wear a tie, scarf, or some featured shirt under it (even a graphic tee).

Personally I don't care for sweater vests. They tend to not look good on men under 30. But I've seen them been pulled off.
