Someone else here mentioned last week they owned a pair and they said the quality is miles beyond the ones manufactured in the east. Sole lasts much longer, higher quality leather.

I had a pair of Asian 1490s and they didn't last for much longer than a year and a half.

Just got home. Right off the bat, the leather feels amazing. Can definitely feel the difference in quality in the overall boot. Sole is solid, stitching is fine, the laces suck though but I have another pair from an older pair of boots I was planning on using anyways.
