on the move = lightly clothed, a shirt will do since you're gonna be working up a swear carrying that 30 kg backpack worth of gear, food, two sleeping bags, not to mention all the other shit you have to bring with you in the military
camping/standing still = layer up, here it is important to wear water resistant/proof outerlayer and then you can just go ahead, 3 layers max including outer layer.

But in the end, as nice an outfit as it is, it's boots, jeans, a t shirt and a hoodie with a denim jacket. It's a good fit. But it's a basic one. And there is nothing wrong with that. Basic is fine. Sometimes, as in this case, it even looks great.

I don't really have a price range in mind but under 150 is all I could afford realistically, i'm not fussed about effay brands and I like plain stuff. skin tone is just generic mildly tan white. pants would be faded blue, navy or black skinnies. I don't usually wear dress shirts but that could look cool. thanks for the idea.

If you're lanky/skinny stay away from skinny jeans. Adding bulky items like parkas on top of wearing skinny jeans makes you look off balanced/curl bro. Save the skinnies for summer and times when you'll have a more fitted shirt. Try straight legged pants with your cold weather gear to balance it out. Also you can def. pull off a casual beanie with that sweater. Hope I helped

Solid color (not black) or something with a vintage pattern. I would do a navy color beanie with jeans just because your sweater is very light and I'd want to add in some weight to make it more masculine and grounded (like having at least one black piece in a room to ground it). but you can do almost any color (black would be too harsh imo) depending on what color pants/parka you'll be wearing it with.
