boots with a slim profile really just don't work unless you are extremely thin

also i had a pair of hudsons, the leather was horrible. i think some sort of coating was applied, because it flaked off and left shitty yellow marks all over the boots

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm 1.87m but more big guy than slim model. Thanks for the feedback on leather.

They're H by Hudson.

4/5 (400€, yay Europe)

IR's are amazing boot but sadly they don't work at all on snow. If you live north enough where snow gets packed on sidewalks etc, you will be literally skating all over the place.

Get something with more tread, like Beckmans or one of the moctoes.

I already have a pair of black Timberland for big snowy days.

And 5/5 (different color). I really like the 1000 Miles but do they really deserve the 150€+ compared to the IRs ?

Redwing boutiques (http://www.redwingheritage.eu/Locator)) and on the interwebs (spartoo, zalendo, sarenza for french fags, kickz for the rest).

Some RW stores in Europe also have website through which they deliver everywhere to EU.

Check out Red Wing Amsterdam, or Red Wing Berlin websites.

Bear in mind that 1ks look waaaay dressier than IRs in person. 1Ks look much more mfa/bootz-n-rawz, with a much squarer toebox, whereas IRs look like workboots with a very rounded bulbous toebox.
I like IRs better personally, and think 1Ks are overpriced, but these are things you should consider.

timbs are hyped right now, so ofc they'll be recommended by /fa/, which is filled with teenagers and college kids following hyped trends.

Timberlands are cleary not /fa/. I bought them 6 years ago for very cold and snowy days. They're waterproof and undestroyable.

I am looking for, and can't find, a decent looking black boot that has a rounded toecap and would go well with slim/tapered jeans. I don't want to tuck my trousers into my boots or any other 1 direction shit, i just want some weather protection in a non hideous format.

save me based god

I live in Canada and those are the only boots safe for our weather. I bought Doc Martens for winter and what a mistake it was. They didn't even last the whole winter. The salt had destroyed them and wasn't waterproof anymore.

I felt the 1000ks were too plain and dressy. I want a workwear/outcore look so I'm leaning towards cork sole IRs. But how warm are they? I live in a hot climate so I think malis might be more suitable if irs are too hot.

So Clarks desert boots are on sale:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WU8SC0

What is the difference between "beeswax" (pic related) and "beeswax leather"? I think beeswax leather are the recommended ones, but they are out of stock. Are the plain beeswax ones as good?
