I went to the Sandhurst ball in August this year.

I tell you what, my dior homme dinner suit paled in comparison to what the gents wore.

In formal settings is probably the only time when enlisted men look as good as officers, given that by the very nature of the military, officers tend to have more pomp.

peacoat is awesome. get your uniforms tailored - shirts taken in being the big thing - and you'll automatically score a lot more points. keep yourself trim, it'll be hard after tech school. since you're navy you'll be stationed nearer big cities so there should be at least some way to get to decent stores.
