yeah, iirc all the cotton was turkey, the 100% wool knits were china, the really cool sweater prints were belgium etc etc - they seemed to manufactured in regions with expertise in mind but still the china issue.
i dont know if a lot of consumers are educated like that and anorak made the point that a lot of sales still suffer because of the negative perception of 'made in china'

Yeap, I own the sweater this price tag is from (in a different colourway though), each of the hounds tooth checks were individually sewn together. It was made in China and that was the price 7 years ago. Today it might cost closer to $800 or even $1000 and once again this is for a sweater that's made in China. If it was made in Europe it would likely cost 2-4 times that.

The kicker is I got it for $25 BNWOT 3 years back because to this day no one understands the value of Cloak and what Plohkov put out.

But yeah, any really intricate or crazy knitwear is not going to be made in a first world country if you're a small designer brand, it's simply impossible to make it happen at a price point your customer would pay.
