I had acne as a kid, they put me on accutane -- worked wonderfully.

Still have some scaring and the occasional zit.

I discovered salicylic acid -- shit is magic.

I use a 2% solution in a post-wash moisturizer -- haven't had a zit since. Keeps my skin as smooth and firm as a normal moisturizer.

I am going to do a 20% peel to help take down the scaring. The 2% has done a little bit, but the 20% should eat right through that shit.

I wonder if it is because women have a harder time getting accutane. I got accutane, [m], so I never had BAD acne, I just had moderate acne and said fuck-it.

Personally I know as many guys with bad acne as women with bad acne. (Actually in HS the ratio of males to females was like 20:1 as far as acne was concerned.)

so they usually deal with it or start using stridex pads or some shit

the covering up only exacerbates the problem and they end up being 20+ with scars and shit while you should be naturally clearing up by that age

shit like this makes me wish it was socially acceptable for men to wear makeup. i don't really have spots any more but i got quite a lot of dark spots and discoloration left over by it. i'd have perfect skin if i could just put some makeup on it
