Vidya is right out, but that's just my opinion.
I think you'd be best off finding an oversized tee from a heavy industrial company, then tailoring that tee to your body. I say size up for the sake of the length and then correct the fit with tailoring. Also consider seamripping the bottom hem and doing a bit of home distressing (acetone, vinegar, etc)

When certain forms of electronic music were still very nascent, DJ's would go around and pick odd, one-off songs that all fit a certain 'feeling' and they would compose their sets with these songs.
Eventually, the birth of the proper warehouse party and the spinning habits of these DJ's gave us different varieties of House (or 'warehouse') music.
What happens in a situation like this is that the tastemakers go out and do the best they can with what they have, and eventually the designers and producers catch on or are influenced by it.
Then, those people start producing more and more things that fit the bill because they know there's a very specific audience out there looking for it.

Boom, a subgenre is born.

If nobody pioneers new ideas, nobody gets anyplace. If you're not satisfied with your reality, you can change it. That's what's happening here.

Captcha always consists of two words, one of which is known to the captcha server and one of which is unknown. The unknown one is either a number from Google Street View or a word from a library of public books that Google is displaying in an effort to crowdsource the digitization of words that don't read easily via OCR software.

If you solve a few captchas it's quite easy to tell which is the computer-generated word and which is the text you're meant to help Google read.

You have to solve the text that Google knows but you are free to write whatever the fuck you want for the one they want you to read. Pic related it's what I'm solving right now.

>am i missing something here? How do you get away with incorrectly typing captchas?
there are two parts in a captcha, but you only need to type in one part. the part you need to type is the wor that's easiest to read.

the really scrambled one actually has no correct answer. the computer doesn't know what it say,. so you can type in whatever you want.
i'm not sure what they are using it for, but google figures out what the scrambled words are based on what people type.

you are actually working for google every time you type in a captcha correctly.

and if that actually counts for a gothninja def you can't go around whinin bout lunarcore its fuckin playin around with modern interpretations of future tech, effectively the contemporary retrofuture (iunno what term they gave retrofuture in the 60 70 s when it wasnt actually 'retro' doubt just called future)

Debrand it. Yeah, it's stuck in the fabric, but I've been playing with the idea of gluing on a velcro sheet and attaching patches or symbols that way. Gluing so you don't have to puncture any of the waterproof materials the way you'd get if you sewed stuff on. I haven't done it yet, because I want to research glues and make sure they won't hurt the fabric, but yeah.

Some other options: just gluing on a patch in the same kind and color of material (Seattle Fabrics and Rockywoods Fabrics will sell you technical fabrics), gluing on a magnetic strip and making magnetic "patches," instead of attaching patches, attach little pouches you've glued velcro strips on. Etc.

Dude, I admire Lunarcore, and I suspect there's a few people in the industry, or at least market research attached to the industry, who are aware of it*. But it is in no way whatsoever a thing beyond /fa/. It's not even a thing on Tumblr.

The piece in question is a pale grey knit MA-1 that apparently is already on clearance. It wasn't designed or produced recently. Bomber jackets have been an on trend item for like a year now. Knit outer layers don't scream "space" or "future." Reigning Champ's aesthetic has exactly nothing in common with Lunarcore/spacecore, and Haven's stock has leaned toward the technical and the military-inspired since forever.

*Someone is going to challenge this, but anyone with a need to keep up on what people are thinking aesthetically about fashion would be stupid not to occasionally check fashion forums, everything from Ask Andy About Clothes to /fa/. And at least once someone from an unnamed design firm focusing on technical apparel posted here asking for our input.

Though Knoch and Alien are probably the two biggest influences on /fa/'s attempts at lunarcore, don't assume that they make up the whole sector
lunarcore exists in a number of different time periods. Knoch has a tendency towards military-based spaceflight, but he's not so much after lunarcore as he is after military styles. Alien's got an actual setting attached, but there's no reason you can't go further into the future with han solo m falcon civilian grade space type shit or even jetsons spacecars
course y3 dude's tryin for knoch/alien but still that aint the only way to go

The absence of femininity was one of the things that made it so great, actually.
No women=no parasitic romance, sexualization, cutesy acting or damsel in distress moments, nothing to distract us from what matters: badass, competent people confronting an alien threat.
A female character would have been unenjoyable at best.

The thing is that nothing that involves women is ever genuine.
I'm not judging it normatively, but it's just a fact that in our civilization, the standard human is a guy. Men are the default humans. If you focus your story on a girl, inevitably, the spectators will ask themselves "uh? why a girl?", or even automatically make assumptions as to the significance of this act.

So, if you're a director, taking this fact into consideration makes sense.

lunarcore in a part with a bunch of people who are fashion-conscious will either critique, not care, praise or be going even further out there

and of course this is thinkin only hard-lunarcore. As in it's very blatant and cannot be confused for any sort of natural urbanwear. lighter lunarcore is even more versatile like poet's shit

Absolutely the opposite. Any genuine account of any contemporary social context (or a realistic future) has to include, and realistically and comprehensively portray, women. Because, well, they're there. You're not a bunch of British soldiers and Bedouin warriors.

As far as "unnecessary drama," welcome to humanity.

And as far as men being the "default human," that's true for most men and a minority of women. Not for everyone. It's something any reasonable human should feel a responsibility to push against, not just because politics, but because there is no such thing as a "default human" and all great art deals in idiosyncrasy and difference.

Not having faith in the audience to deal with that and working to the LCD is fatal for art, and you're wrong. Look at the latest Pynchon, "Bleeding Edge." The protagonist is a woman, her femaleness plays a role in the story, but I have seen literally zero "what's up with Pynchon writing a woman" or even "yay, Pynchon wrote a woman!" articles.

What the director is saying might be true for him, but it just amounts to admission of weakness and tells us we don't really need to bother with him - just like that David Gilmour thing a few weeks back about how he doesn't teach women writers because he doesn't love any of them and he only teaches what he loves.

Thank you for proving my point. He femaleness plays a role in the story, therefore the choice of a female character doesn't seem incongruous.

>Any genuine account of any contemporary social context (or a realistic future) has to include, and realistically and comprehensively portray, women. Because, well, they're there. You're not a bunch of British soldiers and Bedouin warriors.
Except that the scope of situations that fiction covers extends far beyond genuine accounts of contemporary social contexts and realistic futures.
>It's something any reasonable human should feel a responsibility to push against
Only insofar as maleness has lost its meaning due to it becoming a very nebulous generic norm.
But in the context of filmmaking, it's not a problem at all, just a technical fact. Exactly like using dark settings to create a creepy atmosphere or a slow piano tune to create a sad scene.
There's no weakness in being unable to do something that's impossible in our civilization (having a female character be completely interchangeable with a male character).

as for the problem with it bein a default human that's not a thing everyone should be against that's just a thing that might be a problem but I can't see it bein a significant one
that there are 'defaults' is obviously a necessity stereotypes don't exist just to because. that the default of mankind is a man i can't see bein a real problem (and although i dont know how true this is for most women, man bein a default is a basic advert tool and seen all across pop culture n media iunno where a woman would think default aint a man unless she'actively tryin to destroy that default from bein a thing)

but rather that the choice of men was taken for its own set of reasons (none of which amount to going after the 'default')
and if this is what he's sayin then that means the default doesn't really exist not in the way you seem to believe it to be but rather that the general style of modern film pushes for a male-centric cast and as such women become 'poisonous'. not because women ARE poisonous to the film but instead because films are made in a somewhat anti-women manner

not because women are poisonous to film but instead because films are made in a manner that women become poisonous. in other words the problematic nature of women in film is not that the interpretation of what women mean when shown in film but rather that the development of the film that leads into this problematic nature. I own both of Pic Related and was much happier with the distressing on the grey ones. It looks heavy on the blue ones, but it doesn't come that way outta the box and the grey ones actually hold the look a little better, imo.

Thanks man. I really like the jacket, but the pants and shoes def need to be changed imo. An accent piece like that vest would be neat too...

Bored so I went shopping. How does /fa/ feel about cropped jackets?
