I make about $1,000 a month from work and can spend around $600 a month. Question is, if you could spend $500-700 a month on pure clothes, what would you get? How would you build your wardrobe from this?

One expensive item and the rest basics?

i'm trying to cop both this leather jacket and military jacket. how much should i spend on both? leather jacket $200+?

i would probably get things from thrift stores while looking at clothes in consignment shops and online. I would get a random cheap pair of black jeans or grey jeans from a thrift shop.

i would try many t shirts and pick lots of different cuts of shirts...some with wide neck, some with lighter weight material, some with longer length, some with shorter...some with rib knit, some jersey.

I would buy one medium weight jumper, probably a less warm wool or cotton

i would get a pair of grey or black or navy trousers with a sharp taper in wool or cotton

i would get one very drapy scarf

a thick wool (interesting blend) beanie

a slim turtleneck

a pair of simple derbies, maybe a nice older pair by ann or something

a pair of combat boots, probably either kva or rick

a long belt that wraps twice

one calf length wool coat

one pair of high tops

i wouldnt get these things in any particular order, just as i found really good pieces that fit me well, in the right fabrics and in the right colors/hues etc

id spend the most on the boots, the t shirts, and the knit

200 is not even enough for a quality leather jacket. Check out Temple of Jawnz, their prices are somewhere 500-600, but it's quality. And MTM is possible.
