i don't play PC games so it wasn't an issue for me.
i heard GTA IV was notoriously bad at launch for PC and only became good using mods.

it's really great. i beat it and then started a new game after which i'll try to 100%
may be frustrating because of all the stunt jumps and the collectables are really hidden.
i didn't find a single one my first play through, so i checked some in a guide and i would never find them without a guide.

the second time playing has been better.
