Yeah absolutely. Or just bring the pants over the boot instead of tucking.

I know a lot of designers deliberately mess with silhouettes: RO's pod shorts and geos shortening legs with long tees elongating the torso is the first example to come to mind, but I feel it has a minuscule margin of error. I personally love long tees. I think it looks like a dope ass jersey waterfall sliding down the torso but it's really got retain fluidity all the way down the legs imo.
Fixing the pant legs over the boots definitely isn't the only way but it's the simplest. RO often crops the pants right up to the top of the boot, basically where yours is tucked. The proportions are distributed similarly to yours but they don't feel so restricted and awkward. The pant fabric is free flowing.

I honestly don't hate it. You look like a fun person even though I'd assume you're vain as fuck. Would ditch shoes and their metal detailing for something black/black. The hardware is distracting. I wouldn't wear it by choice but if they're suede it might suit the comfy core vibe.
If you go navy and dark red I'd prefer charcoal pants in between them as opposed to light gray. Then do a light gray shirt under the cardi. I think that'd look good.
Go for it. Thinking about it more now and I think navy could look good if you work around it. You just need to find a buffer color for the pants that looks good with both the navy and the dark red. I guess light gray qualifies. Again, would prefer to see dark gray in this context.

Light gray provides nice contrast in value against both navy and maroon, but the disparities in hue between navy/maroon already contrast a fair amount and I think it would be better to compensate by darkening the gray and balancing the high contrast of the red/blue with lower contrast between maroon/gray and navy/gray.

That's just my personal anal approach to colors though. When there's high contrast in value, you can get away with less disparity in hue or saturation. When there's higher contrast in hue(red and blue in this case), I like to tone down value contrast and bring everything to a similar level of darkness.

Gonna rephrase my general summarized philosophy on colors.

You have three empty cups: hue, value, and saturation.

You have a pitcher of water. The water represents contrast. The amount of water in the pitcher is the ideal amount of contrast, let's say 1L. If you were to pour all of that contrast into hue, you'd wind up with orange and blue or red and green or purple and yellow at the same saturation and same value. If you poured it all into value, you'd end up with black and white. If you poured it all into saturation you would end up with a very intense color against a gray of the same darkness.

Most of these extremes don't flatter the color of our skin so you want to distribute it less evenly. 600mL into value would give us a mid-dark color and a mid-light color. 300mL into hue would give us something like orange against red, one mid-dark and one mid-light to account for the 600mL into value. The remaining 100mL into saturation means the two colors are of similar intensities. Maybe the red's a little deeper and the orange is a little washed out.

Open up photoshop or a free alternative and just play around with slide bars and make some simple color blocks that you think look dope as fuck. You'll start to pick up on some trends of how to balance the three measurements.

Achieving a consistent level of contrast through the outfit probably gives it a better sense of unity, so I would certainly consider buying some charcoal pants.
